Upper Ridge Vineyard

A Mountaintop AVA

Pine Mountain-
Cloverdale Peak

In the Northernmost region of Sonoma County is a region called Pine Mountain – Cloverdale Peak. This area on the northern flank of the Mayacamas Mountains only officially gained AVA recognition in 2011, but has been home to viticulture back to its earliest settlement in the mid-1800s. It was also favored by Black Bart, the “gentleman bandit” who liked to rob stagecoaches here in the late 1800s.

Off The
Beaten Path

“Off-the-beaten path” is an understatement for our Upper Ridge Vineyard, located at the top of Pine Mountain. Still, we make the trek because we love the quality of fruit created by its unique terroir, elevation (one of the highest in Sonoma County) and exposure. The best part? You can grow almost any varietal here – and we do! 11 unique wine varietals on one special vineyard.
